What to expect

We offer a professional fitting service on all our internal doors and fully fitted packages. All our installers are highly skilled tradesmen with many years of knowledge and experience in the industry.

Our fitters are either in house or carefully selected sub-contractors. You can read what our customers say about us in our reviews.

After placing your order, either through our website or following a site visit. you will receive an order for you to sign and return to us together with any deposit payment required.

The order will arrive by email and can be signed simply by typing your name into the form where indicated. You don’t need any special software for this, you can use a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop using the keyboard.

Upon receipt of your signed order and deposit your order will be processed and forwarded to the installations team who will now order in the doors and ironmongery ready for the installation.

 We will update you nearer your fitting date with an eta of the fitter’s arrival etc and provide you with our final invoice.

When the fitters arrive, they will protect the areas of work with dust sheets and/or disposable carpet protector. Any objects that may impede the work should be moved prior; the prestart email will explain more about this.

At this point if you have any questions or requests, please let the fitters know, they are a friendly bunch really 😊

If your order has doors for both ground and first floors, they normally start on the first floor.

If you have children or pets, it is best to keep them safe out of the areas of work as we use sharp and noisy power tools. The fitters will also be in and out quite a lot so the external door may be open for a while.

Upon completion of the installation the fitters will vacuum the work areas and apart from a small amount of airborne dust, you won’t know we’ve been, apart from the lovely new doors that is.

The Fitters will ask you to examine the doors and workmanship to make sure that you are completely satisfied before asking you to sign the worksheet and pay the final invoice if applicable.

That is pretty much it there shouldn’t be any drama as this is what we do best! So, sit back, relax and enjoy your new doors 😊

Aftercare

Prefinished oak doors will have the bare edges refinished during the installation by the fitter so there is nothing further required. To clean prefinished oak doors, use a dry micro fibre cloth, if you need to remove sticky finger marks use a dampened part of the cloth and then wipe dry, do not use chemical cleaning agents.

Some paint finished doors require a touch paint, you can get matching paint from most good paint suppliers by supplying the paint code.

Your order will be covered by our standard term and conditions and warranty. These can be found on our website. Note that not all doors we supply are covered by a warranty, i.e., moulded doors.

In Brief we cover the installation for 12 months on materials and workmanship.

The door manufactures provide a 10-year limited warranty on manufacture defects. A copy of this is provided with the order.

Timber doors are a natural product and can sometimes move due to changes in the environment. This is natural, if a door is going to move it will normally happen within the first two weeks following the installation. should this occur, we will be happy to make any necessary adjustments, subject to meeting the requirements of the warranty terms.
